There are nine categories available to enter:
- Tenant of the Year Award
- Young Tenant of the Year Award
- Tenant/Resident Involvement Officer of the Year Award
- Tenant/Resident Liaison Officer of the Year Award
- Excellence in Equality & Diversity Award
- Excellence in Youth Involvement Award
- Excellence in the Community Award
New for 2012
- Excellence in Annual Reports Award
- Excellence in Working Together Award
The 2011 awards saw Pat Fordham of Phoenix Community Housing win the coveted Cliff Whiteley award and Tenant of the Year title.
Pat, aged 67, has been a voluntary 'community activist' for 22 years, progressing onto numerous housing boards and committees organised by Lewisham Council, including being chair of the Tenant's Strategy Group.
She has worked tirelessly for the local community culminating in her chairing the tenant-led Phoenix Community Housing Association and receiving an MBE for services to Lewisham in the New Year's Honours list.
To reflect TPAS's diverse membership, three new categories were added to the 2011 awards; Young Tenant of the Year, Team of the Year and Best Practice in Equality and Diversity awards.
These were won respectively by One Vision Housing's Matt Smith , City West Housing Trust and Gateshead Housing Company.
Other awards included the Contractor Tenant Liaison Officer of the Year title which was won by Mears' Annabelle Macbeth and Best Practice in the Community, won by the Merseyside Residents Network.
Stockport Homes' H3 Group won the Best Practice in Supporting People Award while Best Practice in Youth Involvement went to Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association's Pure Graf work.
Tenant/resident Involvement Officer of the Year for Landlords was won by Komal Doan of The Hyde Group.

National final
The national final will be held as part of TPAS's Annual Conference, date & venue tbc
Award entries
Entries are welcome from TPAS members and non-members including tenants, registered social landlords, local authorities and ALMOs, as well as companies who work in the social housing sector in England. All nominations will be judged by TPAS and other judges.
