Mike Shaft

The host for each dinner will be the ever-popular radio personality Mike Shaft.

Mike is a broadcaster of some repute in the North West having begun his career as a freelance presenter at Piccadilly Radio, Manchester in 1978.

He remained with Piccadilly for eight years after presenting a weekday show and becoming Head of Music in 1993, during one of the most successful periods in the history of the station.

Mike has presented shows of every type, but was probably best known for his soul show 'Takin' care of business' and his late night romantic show 'Love can be fun'.

Over the years after leaving Piccadilly, Mike has worked for many industry leading organisations including BBC Radio Manchester, the Sunset Radio group, Marcher Sound, Piccadilly Gold, Piccadilly Key 103 and Wear FM, Central Television, the Bay in Lancaster, C-Fax 1070 (Canada), Sky and the Christian Channel / the GOD Network.

He currently presents the Multi Faith Sunday Breakfast show on BBC GMR. Mike also continues to present play-by-play for the Westfield Sharks Sheffield and the Everton Tigers - two of the top teams in British Basketball.
